Did you know that our great state of Pennsylvania has a state dog, bird, flower, and tree? They are the Great Dane, the Ruffed Grouse, the Mountain Laurel, and the Eastern Hemlock. We will learn some fun facts about each one before we jump right in and draw them in colored pencils!

*Please bring these required supplies on the first day of class:

1. 9X12 inch drawing pad, 50 sheets, 70 lbs.
2. Two #2 yellow pencils or two HB graphite pencils
3. Eraser
4. Pencil sharpener
5. Colored photos of the Great Dane, the Ruffed Grouse, the Mountain Laurel, and the Hemlock from a book, computer printouts, or other resources.
6. Colored pencil set
