Tuning into the news or social media can sometimes feel like a never-ending stream of bad news. It’s easy to get down, so seeking happiness becomes so important in keeping us moving forward. Radical joy is a concept embraced by LGBTQIA+ and Black communities as well as climate activists to keep themselves and their communities motivated and inspired by upholding stories of positivity, grace, and happiness in the face of adversity- a practice all of us can benefit from.

In this exhibit we seek to showcase a full spectrum of joy. For artists and others, the very act of creating can bring us happiness. Share with us your joys big or small or share what inspires that joy. What keeps you moving forward when times get hard?
