Morning Camp: 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Camp: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Full Day Camp: 9:00 - 4:00 p.m.


Camp Cancellation Policy- 25% of the fee is non-refundable.  There is no refund if the camper cancels within 14 days of the start of camp. Campers are not allowed to transfer or switch camps within 7 days of the start of camp.



‘Dance Me a Story’ Camp with CPYB

Each summer,  Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Carlisle Arts Learning Center partner to bring dance, art and storytelling to children ages 3-7 years old. Come along with Little Bo Peep for a one-week summer camp that will nurture a love for both movement and make believe!

Campers will explore the depths of the sea by creating various sea creatures and ocean scenes. We will explore glue art, quilled paper art and scrape art to make colorful sea creations. There is a lot more to “sea”.

June 10 - 14

Teacher: Courtney Blackburn

Campers will create various works of art using printmaking methods. We will explore topics ranging from nature to imaginary ideas. A look through art history will expose student to the various uses of printmaking as well as provide inspiration for personal ideas. By the end of the camp, students will have a good understanding of how printmaking works as well as a multi-copy edition of their work. Bring your imagination and get ready to print!!

It’s everywhere, powerful, and constantly changing. Water is an awesome force of nature! This camp takes its inspiration from photographs of water on exhibit at The Trout Gallery. Campers will investigate the mysteries of water and learn to control water through sculpture, let it run wild in paintings, and harness its force to create kinetic art. Who’s thirsty?

Each day starts at CALC and ends at the Trout Gallery.  Campers need to bring a lunch.

Cartoons & Movies Camp

June 17 - 21

Campers will employ apps with their personal phones and/or tablets to create exciting digital works of art. This camp will cover basic photography/animation techniques then explore the various ways of editing. Students will then learn to take all skills to create a stop motion movie.

This camp will be all things bear related. We’ll ice dye a bear shaped pillow and print a bag with bear related imagery (fish stamps, etc). We’ll even spend time on bees—because you can’t have bears without honey! (Q: what are bears without Bees? A: Ears!)

Children will explore the many aspects of the “Art of Photography”. This camp will cover basic concepts such as Rules of Composition, Motion, Lighting, Focus, Perspective, Color & Tones and Textures. If you have a child who loves taking photos, fuel their passion with this fun filled camp!
Students should have a camera that they’re comfortable using, it does not matter what type of camera. We'll focus on the art of photography, not technical camera use.

Humans have built towering structures from the beginning of time, but they also love ancient ruins. Can beauty be found in both?  In this program students will explore the eerie futuristic worlds created by printmaker Evan David Summer, and create their own cities.  Destruction is optional.

A fun new camp that will focus on positive self-image, kindness towards ourselves and others and, being strong inside & out. Campers will learn the philosophy of yoga through a variety of fun and engaging tools: yoga poses, games and projects that promote strength, flexibility, and coordination teaching kids valuable lessons building confidence, inner strength, a feeling of well-being, and mindfulness.

Forget covering up old notebooks with stickers, we’ll create our own handmade books from cover to cover! Bookmaking techniques, such as saddle-stitching, screw-post, wire, and various binding methods will be explored. Kids will write a short story and illustrate their own books. We’ll even try pop-up, flip, and accordion bookmaking.

The oceans need our help and now is the time to strap on your floaties and dive in! In this camp, kids will learn the importance of being good stewards of our oceans and what they can do to save our seas!
