This is a course created for beginning and intermediate photographers. Digital components, camera functions common to most photographic instruments, exposure, depth of field, composition, and solutions to typical camera challenges will be discussed in the fun and energetic class. Small weekly projects will be assigned to help students understand the class concepts through their own explorations.

Adobe Lightroom is the software program that the majority of photographers, both amateur and professional, use to organize and process their photographs. In this six-session course you will learn how to setup and use Lightroom Classic to organize and process your photos. If you have never used Lightroom, you will learn the correct way to get started. Create Amazing Pictures with Your Phone Camera

 You take lots of pictures with your phone, but—are you happy with them? Do you keep thinking that they could look better? This is your opportunity to learn how to use your phone camera to take pictures that you previously thought were only possible with a professional-level camera.  You will learn specific tips and techniques for phone photography as well as the time-honored principles of composition and lighting. Your instructor is a retired educator with over 40 years of experience as a photographer—who has discovered that he really can create amazing pictures with his phone camera.

Photoshop for Photographers Using Lightroom Classic

This class is an introduction to Adobe Photoshop CC for photographers. The instructor assumes that you use (or plan to use) Adobe Lightroom as your primary software program to catalog and process photographs and want to take photographs into Adobe Photoshop to complete some task that either cannot be performed in Lightroom or, can be done much quicker (or better) in Photoshop. The instructor will demonstrate the techniques, so there is no need to bring a laptop.

CALC Refund Policy for Art Classes
Carlisle Arts Learning Center does not provide a cash refund for cancellation of art classes, unless the class is cancelled by CALC. In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 5 days before the first class meeting. Students who request a withdrawal at least 5 days prior to the first meeting will receive a 90% tuition class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 5 days from the first day of class are not eligible for a class credit.
Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
